Yemeni Military Advisor Accuses Houthis of “Manipulating” Gaza War
(AWP) - A Yemeni military advisor reiterated accusations against the Houthi group alleging that they are exploiting the current war on the Gaza Strip to manipulate the Palestinian issue and serve “Iran’s project.”
Brigadier General Mohamed al-Kemim, a military advisor for the Yemeni Ministry of Defence, described the Houthis as “terrorist militias and a racist Iranian group.”
He said, “This is a group that has no project or cause except purely to serve Iran’s plans. They only seek to turn Yemen into a launching pad for the Iranian project and mainly to hurt the Yemeni people, not for any support of Gaza or Palestine.”
The Houthis have launched dozens of attacks on ships transiting the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait during the past few weeks.
Despite U.S. and British airstrikes that targeted their military sites in the areas under their control, the Houthis said they would not stop until food and medicine are allowed to reach besieged Palestinians in Gaza.
