Judgement Day Scene Left by Israeli Missile in Gaza’s Nuseirat Camp
(AWP) - The firing of a single Israeli missile that ripped through a residential area in al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip sparked desperate panic among locals, whose faces were lost in a cover of dust in a scene reminiscent of Judgement Day.
The inhabitants in the area were frantically running and screaming, asking if the bombing had left anyone dead or injured, and checking whether their loved ones were accounted for. Many had their faces covered to avoid inhaling dust.
Meanwhile, the Israeli airstrikes continued all over the Gaza Strip on day 24 of the war.
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said in a statement that its fighters targeted a “gathering of the enemy’s military vehicles that had infiltrated the area of al-Sudaniya, northwestern Gaza, with a barrage of mortar fire.”
Eyewitnesses confirmed to the Arab World Press (AWP) that a series of Israeli raids took place in different areas of the Gaza Strip, saying that shelling targeted the area of Tel al-Hawa and a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, northwestern Gaza.
The eyewitnesses also confirmed casualties as a result of the attack as ambulances could not make it to the areas due to the wrecked infrastructure.
Palestinian media said the Israeli army fired phosphorus bombs at Route 8 and the area around al-Dahdouh roundabout in Tel al-Hawa.
