Jordan and Spain FMs Discuss Gaza War During Meeting in Amman
(AWP) - On Wednesday, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares, discussed developments in Gaza, as well as the ‘disastrous’ repercussions of Israel’s sustained war on the Gaza Strip, which has lasted for more than five months.
“The talks between the two sides in the capital, Amman, dealt with efforts to stop the war, guarantee protection for civilians, and deliver sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip,” according to a statement by the Jordanian foreign ministry.
The Jordanian and Spanish top diplomats also signed a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the two foreign ministries, and another one between the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy and the Spanish Foreign Ministry’s Diplomatic School.
