Intersec Dubai Offers Up-to-date Security Technologies

(AWP) -  The trade fair and conference on security and safety (Intersec), held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates, offered state-of-the-art security, safety and protection technologies and machines as part of its 25th edition.

A global pioneer in emergency services, safety and security, the fair saw wide-scale participation for its silver jubilee, with more than 1,300 exhibitors participating in 12 halls.

Intersec also held specialized conferences in the spheres of home security, cybersecurity and trade security, in addition to showcasing services and products in the areas of safety, health, firefighting and rescue.

Khaled al-Khatib, CEO of UAE’s National Fire Fighting Manufacturing FZCO (NAFFCO), said that his company is showcasing its recent product, the AFF vehicle, dedicated to fighting airport fires, noting that it can move quickly and put out fires while moving.

“We also have a firefighting vehicle that operates on electricity, has a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and can deploy its pump and firefighting systems for one and a half hours. In addition to the vehicles, we have unmanned aircraft that can carry up to 400 kilograms of firefighting systems,” he added.

Intersec offers a platform for participants to communicate and build relations with sector experts, government officials and corporate decision-makers, as well as to access new information, discussions and viewpoints.

Ahmed Faris Al Haider, Vice-Manager of Saudi Arabia’s ZMR, said his company was attending to meet with clients and managers, and to stay abreast of new developments in the field to keep their customer offering relevant.

“We also seek to know about security gaps, so that we can come up with solutions,” he added.

The fair included new features like the intellectual pioneering platform, a group of innovators and corporations concerned with technological development who meet to debate the future of the sector.

It also hosted the In-Cyber platform, dedicated to cybersecurity solution providers and technology experts.
