Egypt’s Presidential Candidate Hazem Omar Holds First Election ally
(AWP) - The Republican People’s Party Chairman Hazem Omar’s campaign for the forthcoming presidential election in Egypt held its first rally at the al-Azhar Conference Hall in Cairo.
Omar reviewed the most concerning problems facing Egyptians in the provinces of East Delta and proposed solutions based on his election platform.
The presidential candidate said the most important of these problems are about the local administration and services, noting his platform envisages seven proposals to overhaul this system.
Mohamed Salah Abu-Hemila, the general coordinator of presidential candidate Hazem Omar’s campaign, said the rally was massive and the objective was to discuss the problems facing six governorates.
“Engineer Hazem has reviewed all these problems in light of his election platform. We hope, through our lawmakers at the House of Representatives, to work on solving some of these problems,” he added.
The RPP says it has solutions and ideas for handling problems facing the Egyptian citizens at home and at the foreign level.
“We at the RPP have solutions to all the problems that currently exist and all the issues of interest to the Egyptian people, including the Renaissance dam. We also have our own solutions to the problems of the economy, localities, unemployment, education and health,” said Ihab Ramzy, a member of the RPP’s parliamentary board.
Omar’s election campaign said the rally was the first among a total of three more to be held on Fridays as part of preparations for the final stage of the presidential polls.
Egypt’s presidential election will be held over three days, starting from December 10. Four candidates are vying for the top post: incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Egyptian Social Democratic Party (ESDP) leader Farid Zahran, Al-Wafd Party leader Abdel-Sand Yamama and RPP leader Hazem Omar.
