1 Dead, 4 Wounded in Israeli Raid on South Lebanon
(AWP) - The Israeli army shelled a house in al-Jebbayn municipality in South Lebanon, leaving one resident dead and four others rushed to hospital in neighboring Tyre, according to local residents.
“A civilian household came under attack near our district, leaving one person killed and four others wounded. This is the enemy with all its arrogance. It is attacking innocent civilians, and homes with their occupants inside,” said Jaafar Qqeil, Chief of Jebbayn municipality.
Lebanese media confirmed that Israeli warplanes had bombed the outskirts of Ayta ash Shab vil-lage, while Israeli artillery had fired on the outskirts of the villages of Houla, Odaisseh and Wadi Honin.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that its attacks had targeted several Israeli sites in South Lebanon.
Exchanges of fire resumed on the Lebanese-Israeli border a few hours after the truce between the Hamas Movement and Israel in the Gaza Strip collapsed.
