Egypt and Jordan’s Foreign Ministers Discuss Gaza War and Regional Escalation Risks
(AWP) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi held talks addressing the war on the Gaza Strip and other regional issues during a meeting on Wednesday in Cairo.
The two ministers also discussed the risks of escalation in Lebanon and Syria, as well as the security situation in the Red Sea, as confirmed by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry posted on its X account that Abdel Aati and Safadi discussed “the situation in the region and ways to intensify efforts aimed at stopping the Israeli aggression against Gaza and the resulting unprecedented suffering and humanitarian catastrophe.”
The Jordanian ministry also stated that they discussed “ways to deliver adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.”
