(AWP) - Palestinians carried out the burial of a man on Wednesday after he was shot dead in the city of Nablus, the West Bank.
The victim’s family say that he was killed by an Israeli force, who shot him during a raid on the city, as escalating Israeli military operations in the West Bank continue since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
Palestinian media reported that the deceased, Ramadan Sadek (47), died affected of his wounds few hours after he was shot during the Israeli forces’ incursion of the area of Khallet al-Amoud in Nablus.
“He was sitting near his house with his nephews, chatting, when they were surprised by the entry of the [Israeli] army. The area witnessed the hurling of stones at the Zionist patrols that were firing, so he was martyred,” Hilal Sadek, Ramadan’s nephew, said while recalling the incident.
